Liturgy of the Hours Group

The mystery of Christ, his Incarnation and Passover, [...] permeates and transfigures the time of each day, through the celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours. [CCC 1174]

From the earliest time, the public prayers of the Church have been at the forefront of Christian life: the newly-baptised devoted themselves "[...] to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers" (Acts 2:37-42).

Those public prayers are what we now know as the Liturgy of the Hours.  Primarily prayers of praise and petition, they have come to be distributed at times during the day.  They're a good thing to participate in, and allow us to join our prayers to the rest of the Church.

Our parish has its own Liturgy of the Hours Group that meets in the church: all our welcome!  If you'd like more information, then email  The links in this page listing can take you to more information also.  We look forward to seeing you!
